Marquette University and the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation (WARF) have announced the winners of the 2021 Force for Positive Change awards, and we’re among them! This year was the fourth time the competition recognized social entrepreneurship as a model for solving social or environmental challenges in a way that is sustainable, just, and generates impactful change in Wisconsin.
“This year’s applicants took the competition to a new level. We are thrilled that such high caliber social enterprises, both for-profit and nonprofit, throughout Wisconsin are creating so much impact to benefit our state,” noted event co-producer Laura Heisler, from the Wisconsin Alumni Research Foundation.
We appreciate the coverage and support as we work to inspire youth to unlock their entrepreneurial gifts and use them to make the world a better place. If you’re a member of the media and you’d like to feature CEOs of Tomorrow in an upcoming story, please get in touch.
Ten CEOs of Tomorrow students had a life-transforming experience during their recent 13-day experience in The Gambia, a tiny country in West Africa along the Gambia River, that will be highlighted at “Inspired by The Gambia” on Sunday, Aug. 27, 3:30-6:30 p.m., at Madison Museum of Contemporary Art in downtown Madison.
From kits designed to help children start businesses to trips overseas, one Madison-based nonprofit may just be inspiring the next generation of CEOs.
